Biography
Stephen Treacy is a lecturer in the department of Business Information Systems at Cork University Business School. He received his PhD from University College Cork in 2016 and his interests include open innovation, collaborative communities, competitive markets, crowdsourcing, social capital and cloud computing. Stephen has acted as reviewer for AMCIS, ECIS, ICIS, PACIS, and the Journal of Decision Systems. Stephen's research has appeared in ECIS and the Journal of Information Technology. Stephen is especially interested in leveraging the collective wisdom of the crowds, identifying the motivating factors for engaging in the various forms of distributed collaboration, and exploring how organisations can co-create value in order to leverage inherent potential.
