UCC students raise €4,250 and donate funds to UNICEF, Cork Penny Dinners and a number of smaller local charities.

As part of their entrepreneurship assignment, 15 groups of students of UCC’s Entrepreneurship and Opportunity Recognition module each took €5 of seed capital investment from their lecturer Dr. Lawrence Dooley and within a time window of one week, generated €4,250 return from engaging in commercial ventures.  The class has donated these funds to the charities of UNICEF, Cork Penny Dinners and a number of smaller local charities.

Over the past six years, the students of the module have generated in excess of €30,000 from the project assignment brief for local charities.
