External Advisory Board
The remit of the Board of External Advisors of Cork University Business School is to offer the Dean and the School independent external advice and actively support delivery of the School’s Mission and Strategy.

Cathy Kearney is Apple’s vice president of European Operations, based at the company’s Europe headquarters in Hollyhill, Cork.

Barrie O’Connell is a Partner in KPMG Ireland and Partner in charge of the KPMG Cork office.

Aine is currently an independent Impact Consultant, her primary role over the 2 past years being that of a retained advisor working with the Bridges+ team at the Impact Management Project.

Professor Stephen Boyle is Vice President (Education) of Monash University Malaysia. Previously, he was Dean of the College of Business, Law and Governance at James Cook University (JCU) and Campus Dean of the JCU Singapore campus.


Sharon is CEO & Co-Founder of Shorla Oncology (‘Shorla’), a commercial stage U.S.-Ireland specialty pharmaceutical company and is based in Boston, U.S. She is a graduate of UCC – BSc Finance 2006.

Noel Keeley is CEO of Musgrave Group, Ireland’s leading food retail, wholesale and foodservice company.

Ruth is Head of Compliance, Risk and Policy for Fexco Group. Ruth previously worked as managing director of the Fexco Corporate Payments business and practised as a solicitor specialising in financial regulation.

Rosemarie is currently SVP Marketing for Avolon, one of the world’s leading global aviation finance companies, covering airline customers across Europe. Rosemarie previously led Risk and Treasury teams at Avolon and prior to that at Fidelity and DuPont.
