Sunny Tran, the overall winner of the Dean's Choice Award from the 2022 CUBS Leaders of Tomorrow Awards, recently spoke on the UCC Graduate Attributes Programme (GAP) Podcast.
Huu Dai Nhat Tran (Sunny) is a student on the MSc Information Systems for Business Performance programme and won the Dean’s Leadership 2022 category. Having faced numerous challenges and family circumstances he graduated at 29, while taking on multiple roles. He received an Irish Aid fellowship to study MScISBP. He co-founded the social enterprise MANTA Sail Training Centre, which diverted fisherman to water sports, and promoted sustainable green livelihoods and awareness in his community.
Sunny took the time to speak to Adel Coleman of GAP about his journey in UCC, what made him 'belong' in the university, how the university has helped develop core values and attributes and his future plans.
