To launch Fairtrade fortnight in Cork, UCC's Centre for Co-operative Studies and Fairtrade Ireland, in conjunction with CUBS and the Centre for Global Development UCC are delighted to announce: Better than Bitter - How Fair Trade Cocoa Coops Fight Slavery, Child Labour and Poverty.
With Arjen Boekhold (Supply Chain Social Entrepeneur and founder of Tony's Chocolonely - slavery free chocolate), Dr. Oliver Moore (UCC Centre for Cooperative Studies), Peter Gaynor (CEO of Fair Trade Ireland) and Lucy Geraty - Project and Support Officer - Fairtrade Ireland.

Dr Oliver Moore from the Centre for Cooperative Studies travelled to Ghana in January to visit Fairtrade cocoa producers, and see how the Fairtrade premium is put to use. Join him and a team from Fairtrade to launch a series of portraits and photos that tell the story of Fairtrade cocoa.
