Cork University Business School (CUBS) at the University College Cork (UCC) has officially received re-accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities in post-graduate business education.
Upon receiving AMBA accreditation, all current MBA and recent MBA alumni of CUBS UCC are invited to join AMBA’s global member community of more than 60,000 students and alumni in more than 150 countries on a free basis, for networking, thought leadership, career development, and a variety of benefits.
Accreditation from the Association of MBAs represents the highest standard of achievement in post-graduate business education. Its rigorous assessment criteria ensure that only the highest-calibre programmes which demonstrate the best standards in teaching, curriculum, and student interaction achieve Association of MBAs accreditation.
This re-accreditation for five years demonstrates CUBS’ ongoing commitment in delivering the highest levels of excellence in MBA education. It also means that the school sustains its double accreditation status given the school continues to hold the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation.
During the accreditation process conducted by AMBA, members of the accreditation panel, representing senior management, commended how well the school is connected with the local community, with both students and alumni recognising how much value this adds to their experience.
The panel also noted that the EMBA benefited from a committed and passionate team. The programme has two MBA directors, who work in collaboration with each other. This was seen to add value and stakeholders mentioned how supportive and available the team were.

Its accreditation process reflects this commitment to fostering innovation, and demanding business schools to perform at the highest level continually.
