Biography

John Doran lectures in Accounting and Finance. A graduate of UCD, he worked with Arthur Andersen serving clients in the technology, healthcare products and bloodstock sectors. He specialises in Management Accounting and he has published in the areas of product pricing, change in accounting systems, the role of expert advice in investment decisionmaking and on issues in accounting education. His main research interests, at present, are in the areas of internal control/corporate governance and accounting education.He was Chairman of the Irish Accounting and Finance Association in 1999-2000. In 2010 he received the UCC Presidents Award for Excellence in Teaching.
