Biography

Dr Carolanne Mahony is a lecturer and researcher in the Business Information Systems department, Cork University Business School (CUBS), University College Cork, Ireland. She is co-director of the MSc in Design and Development of Digital Business. Dr Mahony is the Founder and Director of Eitic, a multidisciplinary research cluster which aims to anticipate the future negative impacts of information systems and affect positive change. Her research interest includes how individuals assess and use information and technology, the dark side of IT, citizen engaged research and the scholarship of teaching & learning. She has previously published in the areas of eHealth, Decision Support, and Information Behaviour. Previous to re-entering academia to complete her PhD, she spent several years working in supply chain.
