Cork University Business School recently hosted a LEGO® Serious Play® workshop for students on the MSc Information Systems for Business Performance programme. The session focused on preparing students for effective collaboration in upcoming projects and assignments.
Through shared model-building, students explored expectations, communication styles, and personal strengths. The workshop also created space for all voices to be heard and for teams to design inclusive norms around listening, feedback, and collaboration.
With students from diverse cultural and disciplinary backgrounds, the workshop helped lay the foundations for stronger, more cohesive teamwork. Many thanks to Sinead Hackett for leading on this student engagement initiative, co led by by programme directors Prof. Ciara Heavin and Dr. Wendy Rowan.
