Cork University Business School is excited to announce the launch of The Leadership Conversation Series, a new initiative designed to bring together influential leaders from across business and beyond. This in-person series will offer a unique opportunity to hear firsthand experiences, insights, and perspectives on responsible leadership in today’s rapidly changing world.
Leadership has never been more complex, and its role has never been more critical. At CUBS, we are dedicated to shaping the leaders who will drive sustainable change and contribute to a more equitable future for all. This initiative also aligns with our broader ambition to strengthen connections with industry, our community, students, and staff.
As a school, we firmly believe that leadership should be ethical, socially responsible, and adaptable to the evolving needs of society. We also recognise that leading responsibly presents significant challenges. This series, which will feature 3-5 events annually, will offer candid, thought-provoking discussions with some of the most sought-after leaders in business and beyond. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with speakers, share their own views, and expand their professional networks.
The series open to all UCC students and Staff will provide a platform for open and engaging discussions, giving you the opportunity to:
• Insights from top leaders as they share their leadership journeys and experiences.
• Exploration of responsible leadership, and how it is shaping the future of business and society.
• Networking opportunities with industry professionals, students, and alumni.
• A chance to join a community that is passionate about ethical, sustainable leadership.
We are thrilled to kick off this exciting series with Aidan Corbett, CEO and Co-Founder of Wayflyer. Aidan has built one of the world’s leading providers of working capital for fast-growing consumer brands, funding businesses with billions of dollars in short-term financing. A serial entrepreneur, Aidan also founded Conjura, a data analytics company, and bootstrapped Kubicle, a software training platform. Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Aidan worked with McKinsey, NTR, and the Irish Civil Service.
This event takes place in the Dora Alman room 5pm March 12. This is a unique opportunity to hear from a leader who has scaled a global business and gain invaluable insights into leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Whether you are an experienced leader or just beginning your journey, we invite you to be part of this meaningful conversation. Register here.
