Ephrata Yosef Wins Prestigious Global Award at EY NextGen Women’s Competition

Congratulations to Ephrata Yosef, a final-year BComm student, on winning the highly coveted ‘Better Us’ Award at EY’s NextGen Women’s Global Competition 2024.

Ephrata’s achievement is nothing short of extraordinary. From an initial pool of 4,226 applications and 390 participants, she advanced to become one of just 25 global finalists and represented EY Ireland at the prestigious finals held in Madrid. Among this elite group, Ephrata distinguished herself as one of only two winners globally to be recognised for her remarkable contributions.

The ‘Better Us’ Award celebrates individuals who inspire others, create a sense of belonging, and bring out the best in their teams. Ephrata’s ability to embody these values earned her this significant accolade, reflecting her exceptional leadership, collaboration, and capacity to positively influence those around her.

The EY NextGen Women’s Global Competition is a platform dedicated to recognising and supporting the next generation of women in business and technology. It highlights the importance of fostering innovation, inclusion, and excellence, and Ephrata’s success exemplifies the core mission of this initiative.

Ephrata’s journey at EY began with her work placement as part of her BComm degree, and her exceptional performance during this time has led to a coveted permanent position at the global professional services firm.

Her achievement is a proud moment for the CUBScommunity, showcasing the talent and determination of our students on an international stage. Ephrata has proven herself as a true leader and role model, inspiring others to aim high and make a difference.

Congratulations once again, Ephrata!
