What is Student Inc. Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme?
Do you have a business idea you are passionate about? Perfect! Student Inc. is a full-time immersive entrepreneurship accelerator programme set up to encourage students to assess the feasibility of their business ideas and start a business in a safe and nurturing environment. The programme has been running by MTU Cork since 2011 and was rolled out to UCC in the summer of 2019. The expansion of the programme followed successful bids to the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and in 2025 Student Inc. includes a vibrant entrepreneurial network of nine HEI partners across Ireland: MTU, UCC, ATU, UL, TUS, SETU, IADT, MIC and DkIT.
The expanded programme gives all third level students from Donegal to Cork the opportunity to see if their business ideas or inventions are viable commercial opportunities or social enterprises. The programme is a universal programme: all students regardless of their year of study or academic discipline can apply for a place on the programme. Student Inc. at UCC is championed by Professor Joe Bogue and Dr Lana Repar from Cork University Business School.
