Biography

Ruth joined the Department of Accounting & Finance in UCC as a lecturer in 2019. Prior to returning to academia, Ruth worked extensively in industry with the Central Bank of Ireland, the Ontario Securities Commission, Irish Life Investment Managers and Goldman Sachs, among others. Ruth has also guest lectured at Technological University Dublin.  Ruth has an honours BSc Finance degree from UCC and Masters degrees from both Trinity College Dublin and UCC.  She is currently completing a PhD, funded by the HSE, in Cork University Business School, researching how budgeting can assist healthcare organisations in managing the cyclicality on resource allocation decisions.
