Biography

Maeve Ahern O’Neill is a PhD Scholar in the Department of Management and Marketing, Cork University Business School (CUBS), UCC.

Maeve is an experienced marketing and communications professional. She worked as marketing and sales manager for a book distribution company and remained there for over a decade before changing to the non-profit sector specialising in the use of communications and social media in creating awareness and fundraising goals.

The call to return to education came in 2014 where Maeve researched the impact of managing an online personal branded message and controlling one’s digital footprint for her Masters’ Degree in Digital Humanities in University College Cork and was awarded with a first class honours.

The huge interest in her topic paved the way for Maeve to establish The Branding of Me in 2015.  Since then she has become a guest lecturer in UCC and NUIG, asked to deliver workshops to the highest level of managers in multi-national companies, invited to speak at conferences and helped many individuals from those seeking to progress in their career.

In January 2018 Maeve embarked on her PhD journey in marketing with the aim to contribute to the growing topic of personal branding and social media influencers.
