Biography
Dr. MacFeely is Assistant Director General at the Central Statistics Office (CSO). Steve has a wide research interest, including regional issues, input-output analysis, satellite accounting, family business and tourism. He is currently a member the Oversight Board of the new Irish Government Economic and Evaluation Service, the UNWTO Technical Advisory Board and the InRouTe Scientific Committee. He is Programme Director of the joint CSO - Institute of Public Administration in Ireland ‘Professional Diploma in Official Statistics & Policy Evaluation’ and also Deputy-Director of the International Association of Statistics Education statistical literacy programme. Steve will take up a new role from July 2014, as Chief of Statistics and Information with UNCTAD.
