Dr Maria Coakley

Biography

Dr. Maria Coakley is a lecturer in Cork University Business School and is a graduate of University of Galway ( B.Comm, H Dip. Marketing Practice) and University College Cork (Exec MBA and DBA ( Business Economics). 

Dr. Coakley has a broad business acumen, having worked as an accomplished Business Leader, Project Director and University Lecturer with over twenty five years’ experience in Project Management, Customer-Focused Sales, Sales Operations and Marketing who has a passion for entrepreneurship, leading teams, transforming mindsets and professional development. With direct experience in SME’s, Global Organizations and extensive management experience of successfully leading, planning and delivering strategic European and Global projects, she brings this expertise to her teaching.

Her research and papers have been focused in the area of action research, effectuation, an entrepreneurial way of thinking and constructive development, linked to professional development and she also links this to her teaching. Maria currently teaches Professional and Personal development modules on the MSc Marketing, MSc Marketing and Management, MSc International Sustainable Business, the Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) programme for the School of Economics and teaches students on the Msc for Supply Chain Management.
