Biography
Dr. Jane Bourke is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at University College Cork. Her research interests include Innovation, Technology Adoption, Business Performance, Healthcare Innovation, and Health Economics. Jane has published her work in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals such as Research Policy, Technovation, Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Innovation Management, the European Journal of Health Economics, and Health Policy, among others. She regularly presents her work at national and international conferences (including DRUID, IHEA and IEA), and has received research awards for her work. Her research has been cited over 400 times and her h-index is 11.
Dr. Bourke is a founding member and theme leader (Innovation Systems) at the Spatial and Regional Economics Research Centre at UCC. Jane is currently a co-investigator and theme leader at the Enterprise Research Centre at Warwick and Aston Universities, which is funded by the UK’s Economic and Social Research Council. She has also received research funding from Science Foundation Ireland, the Irish Research Council, the Health Service Executive, Commission for Employment & Skills (UK), Solicitors Regulation Authority (UK), Legal Services Board (UK), among others.
