About the author

Patrick Moore is a Health Economics Research Fellow with The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA) at Trinity College Dublin. Patrick holds a BComm and an MSc in Economics from University College Cork (UCC) and completed his doctorate in Health Economics at Trinity College Dublin (TCD) as part of the HRB funded Scholars Programme in Health Services Research. His PhD thesis examines the relationship between pharmaceutical expenditure, ageing and proximity to death. Prior to joining TILDA he lectured in Health Economics and Quantitative Methods at TCD and worked as a Project Officer with the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA). His research interests are in pharmacoeconomics, healthcare utilisation, ageing and health policy.
