MakeITWork with Business Information Systems

Business Information Systems (BIS) at the Cork University Business School, University College Cork, are delighted to invite students across Munster to participate in MakeITWork in 2018/2019.

The initiative will give students a chance to see UCC’s campus and BIS laboratories, to work in teams solving interesting problems, and to get a taste of what working in modern business environment entails. We hope that the day will help students think about the kinds of careers they might like to pursue, and gain a better understanding of the role of technology in business. Students will also gain insight into the BIS degree at UCC, enabling them to make an informed decision when choosing their third level course.

The dates & particpant details for the event this year are as follows;

• Tuesday 6^th November 2018 – Leaving Certificate Students (registration open - 16^th October)
• Tuesday 4^th December 2018 – Leaving Certificate Students (registration open -  7^th November)
• Tuesday 8^th January 2019 – 5^th Year & Transition Year Students (registration open – 5^th December)
• Tuesday 5^th February 2019 – 5^th Year & Transition Year Students (registration open – 9^th January)
• Tuesday 5^th March 2019 – 5^th Year & Transition Year Students (registration open – 6^th February

All interested candidates please contact your School Guidance Counsellor at first instance.

There is a maximum of 4 students per school as numbers are limited.  Gender-mixed schools should identify 2 female and 2 male participants
