Professor of International Business and Strategy from the University of Surrey, Tazeeb Rajwani will be the guest speaker as part of the Lunchtime Research seminar series.

Abstract

Prof. Rajwani will share his experiences and insights on publishing in leading journals, particularly in the international business and strategic management fields. He will also speak in his capacity as Associate Editor of Multinational Business Review, incoming Associate Editor of the Journal of International Management, and editorial board member of British Journal of Management. This will be of relevance to both faculty and PhD students in the wider management domain.


Speaker Biography

Tazeeb Rajwani is a Chaired Professor in International Business and Strategy and Head of the Department of Strategy and International Business at Surrey Business School, University of Surrey. 

He has previously held full-time faculty positions at the University of Essex and Cranfield University. He has held visiting faculty positions at London Business School, University of Warwick, University of Peking, Strathmore University (Kenya), ESMT (Germany), and Hult International Business School. 

He has published on strategic management, political risk, nonmarket strategy, and corporate political activity, in journals including Journal of World Business, Global Strategy Journal, Long Range Planning, Groups & Organizations Management, Strategic Organization, British Journal of Management, Journal of International Management, Journal of Business Ethics, International Journal of Management Reviews, and International Business Review.

He has also co-authored (with Thomas Lawton and Jonathan Doh) the Oxford University Press book, Aligning for Advantage, and (with Thomas Lawton) the Routledge Companion to Non-Market Strategy. He is Associate Editor of Multinational Business Review, incoming Associate Editor of Journal of International Management, and an editorial board member of British Journal of Management.  

Tazeeb has degrees from the University of Surrey and the University of Nottingham, and a PhD in Management from Imperial College London.  He is Fellow of Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), Member of the World Economic Forum Expert Network, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI).
