Future landscapes: Translating energy insights into sustainable policy and action

The ACT4ECO team at the Department of BIS present an online roundtable discussion on sustainable energy policies and the transformation of consumer behaviours in the household.

The online roundtable will engage national energy experts in dialogue, including Dr Gary Goggins, Research Fellow NUI Galway who will talk about "integrated approaches to sustainable energy consumption". We will also explore how to increase the impact of policy interventions, both locally and at EU level.

Date Friday, 28 May
Time 12 noon to 1.45pm

This discussion is being organised by the H2020 funded project which created ACT4ECO, a free eLearning platform that enables energy consumers in Ireland and across Europe to make home improvements and use energy wisely. It helps people learn how to change habits and become aware of unconscious energy-consuming traps they might fall into. ACT4ECO can help anyone interested in choosing a new boiler, reducing drafts, installing solar panels, or simply wanting to learn how to understand the electricity bill.
