Building Sustainable Digital Solutions through Student Partnerships

CUBS are delighted to introduce our 3-day Digital Solutions workshop developed in line with the UN's SDGs

CUBS are inviting postgraduate and research students to take part in a unique opportunity, a 3-day "hackathon" aimed at designing Digital Solutions that help meet the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. The workshop is being delivered by facilitation experts from Strategic Design Scenarios (Belgium) in association with UCC. During the event, students will collaboratively design IT prototypes with the aim of supporting some of the UN’s sustainable development goals.

We welcome students across all programmes of CUBS to apply and programming knowledge is not required. The aim is to bring students from across CUBS together to share different perspectives on the topic of sustainability. As places are limited, you are invited to apply here to be in with a chance to partake in this exciting and one-off event.

Date 12-14th January 2022
Location Lapps Quay

The event is supported by UCC’s Learning and Teaching Enhancement Fund and will consist of workshops facilitated by experts from Strategic Design Scenarios, Belgium.

This event is organised by Dr. Wendy Rowan and Dr. Stephen McCarthy, Department of Business Information Systems, CUBS.
