WATCH: ChatGPT and Generative AI: The Future of Human Decision Making Seminar

In collaboration with Cork University Business School, IFIP WG 8.3 on Decision Support hosted a virtual seminar exploring this important theme "ChatGPT and Generative AI: The Future of Human Decision Making.

Generative AI refers to the development of algorithms and models that can produce new content including text, images, and audio, based on patterns and relationships learned from existing datasets. This type of AI has the potential to transform the way individuals, organisations, governments and society approach data analysis and decision-making. Currently, ChatGPT is the most well-known generative AI model developed by OpenAI that has been trained on big datasets to answer questions in a human-like way. As this emerging technology continues to evolve, it is imperative to consider the possible implications of generative AI on human decision making.

Hosted by Professor Ciara Heavin of Cork University Business School and moderated by Professor Gloria Phillips-Wren of Sellinger Business School at Loyola University Maryland, the panel includes Peter Guerra of Microsoft, Elizabeth Kennedy of Loyola University Maryland, Marc D. Paradis of Northwell Health and Kieran Towey of KPMG.
