Niamh Kiely is the department administrator in the Department of Food Business and Development since June 2021.  Niamh has been working in UCC for the last 26 years.  Niamh’s current role is managing the department’s finances, HR issues, staffing and PhD students. 

Prior to Niamh’s appointment as department administrator Niamh, has 18 years programme administrator experience at undergraduate and postgraduate programme level; 5 years’ experience working in the Faculty of Commerce Office and experience working in Central Administration in the Registrar’s Office.

Niamh has an honours degree in Human Resource Management from Cork Institute of Technology.  Niamh updates her skills and knowledge by attending Training and Development Courses which are delivered by HR and IMI as well as updating her IT skills on UCC’s IT programmes.  Niamh obtained a digital badge in “First Steps into Management” and “Continuing Steps into Management”.
