Clare’s role is the Year Abroad Coordinator for the BSC in International Business with Languages, in addition to supporting our Vice Dean of Internationalisation and External Engagement, and the Vice Dean for Learning and Teaching.

Clare has worked in a variety of roles across UCC since 2007. She began her career in the Mature Student Office providing both pre and post entry support to students. She subsequently spent five years managing the curriculum approval process, while being an active participant in a number of high level University wide change processes, including semesterisation. Her most recent role was in Student Counselling and Development, where she worked in a busy student facing office, while supporting a team of 18 counsellors. Over the summer of 2022 Clare went on a 6-month secondment to the National Student and Researcher Helpdesk, a DFHERIS project to facilitate admission to all HEIs for applicants from Ukraine. Prior to UCC, Clare worked internationally for 10 years, mostly in Europe. She has a BA in Russian and Sociology from TCD, and speaks French and some German.
