Thomas Mc Hugh is Director of Public Affairs at Cork Chamber where he represents the Cork business community in Government and stakeholder liaison and communications.

The Chamber represents 1,200 businesses and 100,000 people, working together to make Cork the best place for business.

Prior to joining Cork Chamber, Thomas held the position of Account Director at Counter Context, the leading public affairs consultancy in the North of England, working with clients to build trust and confidence between communities, businesses and government. Among a varied client base, the development of offshore wind projects generating renewable energy for 4.5 million homes was a clear highlight.

Thomas is a proud graduate of the Commerce Faculty at UCC with a BSc in Government and Public Policy and a Masters in Planning and Sustainable Development.
