Stephen Ryan

Head of Marketing, Cork's Red FM

Stephen joined Cork's Red FM in February 2016 as Head of Marketing having held the same position at Fota Wildlife Park for over 7 years where he won numerous awards for his work online and social media.

Stephen leads a department that is responsible for branding, sponsorship, social media, promotions, events and digital. Over the two years RedFM has gone from strength to strength with record listener figures of 144,000 every day making it number one in Cork. The station also won 5 PPI Radio awards including Music Station of the Year and Best on Air Promotion for their innovative Chosen One competition.

Over the last 2 years the RedFM marketing team has also won 3 Cork Digital Marketing Awards for best Digital Strategy, Facebook page and for their Red Business podcast. Stephen is also a lecturer in CIT where he has been lecturing on Marketing across a number of courses including the very successful certificate in digital marketing and was instrumental in developing the new Masters in Digital Marketing Strategy which began last year. Stephen is also a regular visitor to UCC giving annual lecturers to the MBA and Msc in Management & Marketing students.
