Gerry Grimes  serves as the Head of Investment Management at Carne Global Fund Managers Ireland Limited and served as its Director from August 16, 2013 to April 30, 2015. Mr. Grimes had joined Carne Global in May 2013. Prior to this, he worked at Ramsey Quantitative Systems Inc. where Mr. Grimes focused on the development of tactical asset allocation models across commodity, equity, fixed income, and foreign exchange markets and conducted due diligence work on external managers for external allocation program. He was a Founder and Managing Director of Allied Irish Capital Management Ltd, where Mr. Grimes managed a group of investment managers with assets under management in the region of USD 1.4bn, investing across a range of asset classes. He has an extensive investment management experience. Mr. Grimes worked for the Central Bank of Ireland for 11 years in a number of senior investment positions, including Head of Reserve Management with responsibility for the investment of the Official External Reserves across a range of fixed income and currency markets, and Chief Foreign Exchange Dealer. He has over 15 years of investment funds board membership across a range of structures and investment processes and has built, implemented and managed risk management platforms for complex asset management strategies with a high derivative content. Mr. Grimes is a Member of the Advisory Group of the University College Cork Centre for Investment Research and a Member of the Governance Board of the Financial Mathematics and Computation Research Project between three of Ireland's leading universities. He was a Deputy President of Alternative Investment Management Association. Mr. Grimes holds a First Class Honours Degree in Economics and History from University College Dublin.
